The Bank of Thailand hosted a CBDC Hackathon, in which our team participated in the competition. Our team was picked as one of the top ten out of 102 teams to pitch on October 22nd, 2022.On October 1st, our team attended the workshop and met with the mentor to enhance our project.
The CBDC HACHKATHON is a competition organized by the Bank of Thailand. Participants are tasked with presenting use cases for Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). The winning team's use case will be further developed in collaboration with the Bank of Thailand with the aim of real-world implementation.
There were 102 teams participated in this competition, including big companies for example: PTT, Krungsri, Token X, Pop Coin and much more. We, CODEDIVA X TOKENISTRA were selected to be in one of the top 10 finalists.
Among the top 10 finalists, our Smart Insurance Platform stands out as a groundbreaking concept. This platform seamlessly connects investors, insurers, insurance brokers, and insurance companies, offering each party distinct advantages. Investors can expect lucrative returns, insurers can benefit from cashback incentives, brokers can earn substantial commissions, and the insurance company can receive all the insurance premiums.
On October 29, 2022, our Smart Insurance Platform solution was recognized with the second-place award at the CBDC HACKATHON. We were honored to receive this prestigious recognition from the Governor of the Bank of Thailand, Dr. Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput.
